Heffalumps marching to the beat and scoping out the scene attempting to haunt Christopher Robin’s dreams. Working on this ballet, A Friend Like You, we found joy in the loving nature of all the inhabitants of E.H. Shepherd and A.A. Milne’s 100 Acre Wood. Artist Anne Liberman designed the costumes and projections which brought the ballet to life. The musical score is a piano duet called “Carnaval D’Aix”. It is composed by Darius Milhaud (1932) and is a jostle into a fantasy world.
